Consider the growing medium
Peat, soil and different growing mixtures have different water-retention and drainage behaviors. The product should be distributed homogeneously; swelling volume, container or bed volume and drainage should be evaluated together.
Reassess the irrigation program
After application, the previous irrigation program should not be continued automatically. Root-zone moisture should be monitored and duration and frequency should be adjusted based on observation and technical evaluation.
