This Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar storage/access technologies used on https://arajel.net by ARA İleri Yüksek Teknoloji Ürünleri Tic. ve San. A.Ş.. It is designed around Turkish KVKK guidance and, where applicable, EU/EEA ePrivacy/GDPR, UK PECR/UK GDPR and other mandatory local privacy rules.
1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small piece of data stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies can include local storage, tags/scripts and embedded third-party content. In this policy, “cookies” also refers to comparable storage/access technologies where appropriate.
2. Our choice model
Non-essential categories start disabled. You can choose Accept All, Necessary Only or Preferences. Optional categories are not pre-selected. You can later change or withdraw your choice using the Cookie Preferences button.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
- arajel_cookie_consent — Provider: ARAJEL (first party). Purpose: remembers Analytics/External Media choices and policy version. Duration: 180 days.
- arajel_consent_id — Provider: ARAJEL (first party). Purpose: links consent events to a random identifier so we can evidence the choice. Duration: approximately 730 days.
4. Analytics — Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics loads only after you actively allow Analytics. When used, GA4 may typically create first-party cookies including:
- _ga — helps distinguish visitors; Google’s standard configuration generally uses a duration of up to 2 years.
- _ga_<container-id> — helps maintain session state; duration is generally up to 2 years depending on Google configuration.
Google may change cookie names, durations or technical behaviour. Our implementation starts analytics_storage as denied until a choice is made; advertising storage, ad-user-data and ad-personalisation remain denied by default. Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals are not enabled.
5. External Media — YouTube and Google Maps
Embedded YouTube and Google Maps content is not loaded before you allow External Media. After permission, your browser connects to the provider and may disclose IP address, browser/device, referrer and interaction information. The YouTube video uses youtube-nocookie.com where practicable; this reduces some cookie behaviour but does not eliminate all third-party processing.
6. Consent evidence
We keep a separate database record to evidence your choice, respect policy-version changes and avoid unnecessary repeated prompts. The record includes a random consent ID, decision type, selected categories, policy version, language, page path and timestamp. Raw IP addresses and raw user-agent strings are not stored in this record; only HMAC-SHA256 one-way hashes generated with a server-side secret are retained. Target retention is 730 days.
7. Legal basis by region
In Türkiye, non-essential cookie processing is handled in line with KVKK requirements and official cookie guidance; Analytics and External Media use an opt-in model. In the EU/EEA, where Article 5(3) ePrivacy rules and the GDPR apply, non-essential storage/access requires the applicable valid consent. In the UK, where PECR/UK GDPR applies, the same consent-first approach is used for non-exempt technologies.
If a U.S. state privacy law or another local regime applies, any mandatory opt-out or consent rights remain available. Our universal preferences panel does not reduce those rights. We do not intentionally enable advertising-personalisation signals through the site’s Google Analytics configuration.
8. Browser controls and withdrawal
You may also delete or block cookies through your browser. Deleting a browser cookie does not retroactively erase the server-side evidence of a previous consent event; use Cookie Preferences to record a new choice. When Analytics consent is withdrawn, the site attempts to remove accessible Google Analytics cookies and prevents new Analytics loading.
9. Updates and contact
